There are five flash cards for each vowel. Each one represents the sound of the vowel being taught. The child will then associate the picture with the vowel.

Teaching
the sounds

The story of the sound being taught is read to the child.
The song corresponding to the story is played for the child.
The flash card of the sound and the letter it represents is introduced.

Story sample

Show the flash card of the letter. Perform the sound it makes on its own and when combined with each vowel.

Explain how to combine syllables to form words.
